Man, 30s, injured after alleged knife assault in Limerick

A man has been injured following an alleged knife assault in Limerick.

Gardaí attended the scene of an alleged assault at Elm Park in Castletroy at around 8pm on Monday.

A spokesperson for the garda confirmed that a man, aged in his 30s, was later treated for "non-life threatening injuries".

It is understood it was a knife assault.

Inquiries are ongoing.
