Funding has finally been approved to help re-open a vital childcare facility on the northside of Cork City which closed suddenly over a year ago.

Northside Community Enterprises (NCE) confirmed on Monday that the Department of Children has approved most of the €366,000 required for extensive refurbishment works to allow it to re-open the childcare facility in Churchfield, formerly known as Before 5.
