Twelve bank accounts frozen following searches of business premises in Cork
A search operation under a warrant was carried out at three locations in Cork City and County on Monday morning.
Gardaí have frozen twelve bank accounts after an investigation of allegations of deception and investment fraud.
The investigation has focused on a business in the south of the country.
A search operation under a warrant was carried out at three locations in Cork City and County on Monday morning.
It was carried out by gardaí attached to the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau (GNECB), local Garda units and the Garda National Cyber Crime Bureau (GNCCB).
During the search, computers, phones, and files were seized.
"Twelve bank accounts were frozen as per money laundering legislation," a garda spokesperson said.
No arrests have been made at this time.
"Investigations are ongoing," the spokesperson added.
