Paul Byrne worked with the station for 26 years. Zara King joined in 2017.

Journalist Zara King has been appointed Virgin Media Television's new southern news correspondent, replacing the broadcaster's previous correspondent for the region, veteran Cork reporter Paul Byrne.

Mr Byrne announced his departure from Virgin Media in June after a settlement in his High Court action against the station over its decision to bring internal disciplinary proceedings against him.
