Gardaí seize cannabis worth €60k and arrest man in his 30s in Cork City

Cork City Drugs Unit and the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau were involved in Thursday's operation

A man in his 30s in Cork City was arrested following the joint operation by An Garda Síochána and Revenue. 

Gardaí seized €60,000 worth of cannabis and arrested a man in his 30s in Cork City following a joint operation with Revenue officials.

The operation on Thursday involved officers from the Cork City Drugs Unit and the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB). It was part of ongoing investigations into the sale and distribution of drugs and related crime.

The man arrested is being held under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act at a garda station in the southern region.

The drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
