A woman has been charged in connection with a road traffic collision in Cork which resulted in the death of a mother-of-two.
Sheila Dunne died two days after the incident, which occurred at Sarsfield Court in Glanmire in February of this year.
Investigations have been ongoing and gardaà have now confirmed that a woman in her 40s has been arrested and charged.
"As part of the investigation into the fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Sarsfield Court, Glanmire, Co. Cork, 11th February 2024, Gardaà have charged a woman aged in her 40s," a spokesperson said.
The woman is due to appear before Cork District Court at a later date.
Ms Dunne was in her 40s and worked as a special needs assistant in Watergrasshill National School. Ms Dunne’s late husband, well-known local DJ Ted Dunne, died three years ago.
