Charities benefitted from over €190,000 collected in payments into the Court Poor Box by offenders across Cork city and county last year.

Figures published by the Courts Service show payments totalling €191,812 were paid into the Poor Box scheme from court hearings in Cork during 2023. However, the total was 30% less than the amount collected the previous year when contributions totalled almost €275,000.
