Massive traffic tailbacks have been reported on all approach roads to the Cork Summer Show site west of Cork City as thousands of people flock to day two of the event.

There are lengthy queues on the N22 approaching the Curraheen exits for both eastbound and westbound traffic.

Significant traffic congestion has also been reported on the N71 approaching the Bandon Rd roundabout for traffic coming from West Cork.

Organisers of the show have encouraged people attending the event to use public transport, including the 208 bus, to get to the site or to use the park-and-ride facilities which have been laid on specially from Tesco in Ballincollig, on the Carrigrohane Rd, or at the Curraheen Greyhound track.
