Man, 50s, dies in single-vehicle collision near Kinsale

A man has died following a single-vehicle collision near Kinsale.

Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to the crash, which happened shortly before 7pm on Wednesday on the R607 at Farranamoy. 

The man, aged in his 50s, was the sole occupant and driver of the car involved. 

His body has since been removed from the scene to Cork University Hospital (CUH), where an autopsy will take place in due course.

Investigating gardaí are appealing for information. Anyone with video footage, including dashcam, from the area between 6.30pm and 7.15pm on Wednesday have been asked to make this available.
