Students at UCC stage walkout for ceasefire in Gaza

Approximately 1,500 signatures, including more than 1,000 from UCC students, have been added to the UCC Staff and Student Statement on Gaza

This morning at 11.30am, UCC students and staff staged a walkout from lectures, calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Students at University College Cork (UCC) today staged a walkout for Palestine, as part of a campaign urging the university to make a public statement in support of a ceasefire in Gaza.

At 11.30am, students walked out of class and gathered at the amphitheatre on the campus, with speeches imploring UCC to take action.
