Man, 20s, due in court in connection with arson attacks in Cork city

Fire brigades at Boots on Academy street, Cork following a fire in store on Sunday. 

Gardaí have charged a man in connection with criminal damage following several fires at retail premises in Cork City at the weekend.

Detectives arrested the man, aged in his 20s, as part of their enquiries into fires at city centre businesses on Sunday. He was later charged and is due to appear before Cork District Court on Wednesday.
