A gastropub in the seaside village of Roberts Cove in Co Cork has announced that it will close on February 18.
Management at the Roberts Cove Inn posted a statement online today in which they said that it was with "huge regret and very heavy heart" that they have taken the "difficult decision" to cease trading next Sunday.
"There were many difficulties in the background which have made the option of continuing to trade an impossible one. We wish to pay tribute to our lovely staff and customers for their loyalty and support during our tenure here.
"John, Debbie and I will hope to say a personal farewell to you all over the next week and to this end we have organised a special going away party for Saturday next the 17th of February.
"All are welcome. Please come along and share some time with friends in this wonderful community. Yours Sincerely, Viki, John and Debbie."

The inn was named the most scenic wedding venue and gastropub in Cork at the Irish Enterprise Awards two years ago.
