More than €3m worth of cocaine has been seized Revenue officials at Rosslare Europort on Friday morning during checks.
Officers were risk profiling when they found approximately 49kg of suspected cocaine.
They estimate that it had a value of €3,430,000.
A spokesperson said that the operation "was part of Revenue’s ongoing work targeting smuggling and shadow economy activity."
No arrests have been made at time of writing.
The latest seizure comes just weeks after 300kgs of cocaine worth €21m were found on a boat in Limerick in a separate incident.
Revenue officials boarded the Maltese-registered, 20,000-tonne cargo bulk carrier after it docked in Foynes on December 19.
The vessel had arrived from Canada and was expected to be carrying grain.
In September last, the MV Matthew ship was found to have 2,253kg of cocaine worth €157 million on board.
