Dr Con Murphy’s fundraising brings comfort to CUH cancer patients

Cork doctor Dr Con Murphy, who has helped bring increased comfort to cancer patients in their final days through a hospital ward renovation, has praised the support of his GAA contacts, and says more such projects are needed.

The retired GP , who was physician to Cork GAA for more than four decades, spearheaded a series of fundraisers which raised more than €300,000 enabling an overhaul of the oncology unit at Cork University Hospital (CUH).
