Met Éireann issues wind warnings for 12 counties, including Cork and Kerry 

A car making its wat through the floods in Ballintemple, cork as Storm Babet hits and Met Éireann issued a weather warning for heavy rain and localised flooding. 

Met Éireann has issued three separate status yellow wind warnings for 12 counties, with gusts of up to 100km/h expected.

The first warning, which came into effect at 10.20am on Wednesday, affects Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick, with extreme winds expected.
