Cork County Council have hailed a "significant milestone" in the development of the Cork to Kinsale greenway after a new appointment to oversee the initial design phases of the project.

Consultant group Arup have been installed as technical advisors for designing from phase one (concept and feasibility) to phase four (statutory process) — earning a €2.6m contract in doing so.
