Torrential rain caused by Storm Babet on Wednesday has caused severe flooding across the county of Cork and beyond.

A status orange rain warning was issued for Cork overnight with a status yellow rain warning now in place for the county until 6pm. Some local Met Éireann weather stations in Cork have recorded a month's rainfall (115mm) over the last 24 hours.
