Woman, 40s, arrested after body of Ukrainian man discovered in Cork

A woman in her 40s has been arrested by gardaà investigating the death of a man in Cork on Sunday.Â
The Ukrainian man, also in his 40s, was discovered unresponsive in a premises on the Kinsale Road in the early hours of Sunday morning by a motorist.
He was taken to Cork University Hospital by ambulance where he was later pronounced dead.
An autopsy is expected to take place on the body of the man on Monday, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation.
It is understood the man had sought asylum from Ukraine. He was living in the Cork Airport Hotel which is being used to house Ukrainians in Ireland while war is ongoing in their native country.

Gardaà said in a statement that they are "investigating all the circumstances surrounding the death of a man".Â
Investigations are ongoing, the statement added.Â
