Limerick social media influencer Niamh de Brún-Reid has shared her "frustration" after being the victim of a car theft in Limerick on Thursday night.

The Limerick native, who is married to Kilkenny hurler TJ Reid, said her white Range Rover Evoke had been stolen, along with her mother's black BMW which was taken from outside the house.

Sharing the news to her Instagram, Niamh explained her "shock" at waking up to her car being stolen.

The incident occurred at approximately 1.30am, at a property in the Clonmacken area of Limerick.

The car also contained Ms de Brún-Reid's buggy frame and car seat, for her infant daughter Harper.

"It's just such an invasion of your privacy," Ms de Brún-Reid said.

The lifestyle influencer said the family are trying to remain "optimistic" about the return of their vehicles but are staying realistic about the situation.

"I am so grateful no one is hurt and everyone is safe," she stated.

"Material things can be replaced," she added.

Focusing on the positive side of the situation, the influencer added: "At least it wasn't a car crash".

Gardaí at Mayorstone Park Garda Station are investigating a burglary and the unauthorized taking of two cars from a residential property in the Clonmacken area of Limerick in the early hours of Friday morning.

"Enquires are ongoing," the Garda statement read.
