Man arrested after rifle and ammunition seized in Clare

A man has been arrested after a firearm and ammunition were seized by gardaí in Shannon, Co Clare on Friday.

The discovery was made when gardaí attached to the Clare Divisional Drugs Unit with assistance from the Emergency Response Unit and Southern Region Dog Unit carried out a search in a wooded area in Shannon.
