Irish rugby legend and Irish Examiner columnist Ronan O'Gara has once again flexed his French language skills in a promotional video showcasing his hometown of Cork as a tourist destination.
Last month, Tourism Ireland announced it had partnered with the La Rochelle manager for a video ad campaign promoting Cork to French audiences during this year's Rugby World Cup.
The latest video sees the Bishopstown native visit a number of popular Cork destinations outlining in fluent French all that his home county has to offer.
Among the destinations and events O'Gara highlights in the video are Kinsale, the English Market, the Cork Jazz Festival and the Crawford Gallery.
The video also includes spectacular shots of the Beara Peninsula, Charles Fort in Kinsale, Mizen Head, Blarney Castle, Baltimore, and Cobh, and several other scenic spots. Cork's food offering is also on display, with O'Gara visiting a number of popular cafes and restaurants in and around the city centre.
Towards the end of the advert, O'Gara outlines the ways in which French holidaymakers might like travel to the rebel county.
A familiar and respected name in France due to his role as manager of back-to-back European champions La Rochelle, this is not the first time O'Gara has displayed his proficiency in French.
Last month, a video of the La Rochelle manager delivering a Cork-accented team talk to his players in French went viral.
The video campaign promoting Cork as a destination will run Tourism Ireland’s YouTube channel in France and on digital outdoor screens in the locations where the Irish team will be playing in the World Cup - Paris, Bordeaux and Nantes.
Ireland's World Cup campaign gets underway tomorrow when they take on Romania at the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux. The other teams in Ireland's pool are Tonga, South Africa and Scotland.
