Limerick hospital tightens visitor restrictions as it battles Covid outbreak

Struggling to cope with the highest number of Covid patients and the most patients on trolleys in the country

University Hospital Limerick has the highest number of suspected Covid cases of any other hospital.

University Hospital Limerick (UHL) has enforced “an escalation of visiting restrictions”  to “manage an outbreak of Covid-19 across four inpatient wards”.  

The hospital is struggling to cope with the highest number of Covid patients and the most patients on trolleys compared to any other hospital in the country.
