Man who leaned on wall 'so he could dance on prone victim' jailed in Cork

Nigel Walsh was jailed for two years.

An assault on a young man at the Mardyke in Cork was so relentless that at one stage the attacker steadied himself against a wall so that he could jump up and down on his victim.

Nigel Walsh, who is aged around 30, of no fixed abode first attacked the other young man on August 5, 2018, after 10.30pm, but he stopped and returned to attack him on three further occasions over the next 20 minutes.
