Plans for Cork’s new city library will not affect the proposed event centre, the local council has confirmed, but questions remain over timelines, fit-out funding, and the future of the existing building.

Cork City Council has confirmed that plans for a new city library in the historic Counting House complex on South Main St do not rule out the event centre also being located there.
