A woman has been arrested in relation to the gangland murder of Jamie Tighe Ennis eight years ago.

Mr Tighe Ennis, aged 24,  of Timberhill Apartments, Artane, suffered fatal gunshot wounds to the head when he was attacked on Moateview Avenue, Priorswood, Dublin 17 on October 28, 2017.

Gardaí said on Thursday that a woman, aged in her 40s, was arrested in connection with the investigation.

The arrest follows the completion and execution of a Trade and Cooperation Agreement Warrant by UK authorities in conjunction with the Garda Extradition Unit.

She is due to appear before Court No. 4 at the Criminal Courts of Justice this Thursday morning.

Investigations are ongoing.
