The man accused of murdering an 88-year-old patient at the Mercy University Hospital was seen with blood covering his right hand and spattered around the room as he shouted about the innocent victim: “This man ate my son.” 

33-year-old Dylan Magee went on trial by judge and jury on Tuesday where he pleaded “not guilty to murder, guilty to manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility”.
