A Mitchelstown cocaine dealer who was one of the top targets for the Cork county divisional drugs unit broke his phone in two and threw it into the fire when gardaĂ­ called to his home to carry out a search.

Garda Cormac Axson said 34-year-old Michael Nixon of Stagg Park, Mitchelstown, County Cork, was making his livelihood out of cocaine dealing but he was also acting against a background of addiction.
