Family of woman who died of breast cancer settle action for €450,000

Family of mother claim her GP allegedly failed to ensure an urgent referral to a breast check clinic after she found a lump on her breast

Judge was told the settlement was without an admission of liability and the claims in the action were vigorously contested.

The family of a mother of three who died of breast cancer has settled for €450,000 a High Court action over her death.

Nicola Murphy was only 41 years old when she died on September 27, 2019.
