A man who suffered catastrophic injuries when a scrambler motorbike landed on him as he was sunbathing with his wife in a Dublin City park has settled a High Court action for €5.2m.

Ilabek Avetian was only 39 years of age and had just moved to Ireland from Lithuania to begin a new life when the scrambler motorbike came over a hill and collided with the couple.
