A 43-year-old man with no convictions of any kind was arrested following allegations that he produced a knife during an assault on his brother and threatened to “finish it with him”.

Garda Liam English objected to bail being granted to Oleh Shevel and said that the defendant’s brother, Roman Shevel, alleged that during a dispute at their home at 22 Bellview Crescent, Old Youghal Road, Cork, on Tuesday, September 16, Oleh Shevel made a threat that made his brother believe he was going to be killed or seriously injured.
