Man 'caught red-handed' with cannabis and €4,900 in cash at Cork home denied bail

Judge was told cannabis had a street value of €250.

A bag containing cannabis and €4,900 in cash was discovered by gardaí during a search of a room at Old Blackrock Road in Cork, and now a man who was arrested at the time has been remanded in custody.

Garda Diarmuid Murphy objected to bail being granted to Rokib Lahadyo, 28, at Cork District Court. Solicitor Eddie Burke suggested it was a suitable case for bail and stressed there was no money-laundering charge against the accused.
