Man arrested in Dublin charged with rape and sexual assault of boy in Cork in the 1990s

A 63-year-old man was arrested on Monday in Dublin and brought before Cork District Court charged with raping a boy in Cork approximately 30 years ago.
Detective Garda June O’Shea formally arrested the accused in Dublin on Monday and brought him before Cork District Court on seven historical charges. One count is of raping a boy some time between 1994 and 1997 and six counts of sexually assaulting him between the years 1990 and 1997 when he was aged between seven and 14.
