A 39-year-old Cork man was remanded in custody on Monday for a fortnight arising out of an investigation into alleged drug dealing at what was described as a “drugs storehouse” at Madden’s Buildings in Blackpool, Cork, in July 2024.

It was alleged that at this location he was found with €3,000 worth of heroin stuffed down his pants. Detective Garda Rory Fogarty said in a follow-up search at a house, gardaí seized €2,500 in cash which was believed to be the proceeds of drug-dealing.
