Man arrested after €3m worth of drugs seized in Rosslare

The estimated €3m in herbal cannabis seized at Rosslare

A man has been arrested after a massive drugs seizure in Rosslare.

Revenue officers at Rosslare Europort seized approximately 150.6kgs of herbal cannabis on Saturday.

It was seized following the search of a truck which had disembarked from a ferry which had arrived from Bilbao.

It has an estimated value of €3,012,000.

The man, aged in his 50s, who was arrested is currently detained at a garda station in County Wexford.

A garda spokesperson said that investigations are ongoing.
