Gardaí patrolling Glandore village came across a silver BMW which failed to stop for them and took off at speed, coming to a stop in Rosscarbery village, court heard.

A motorist allegedly sped from gardaí in Glandore village, until he came to a halt in Rosscarbery and was found with 35 deals of cocaine in his underwear.

27-year-old Ross Fitzgerald, formerly of 5 Cork Road, Skibbereen, Co Cork, was arrested and appeared on Monday at Cork District Court.
