Laptop theft from hotel described as 'stupid crime of opportunity'

A laptop computer stolen from the Maldron Hotel in Cork City by a man staying at the premises has been described by the sentencing judge as “a stupid crime of opportunity".

The theft was easily captured on CCTV and showed 35-year-old Paul O’Sullivan carrying out the crime.
