Cork man shone torch into deaf woman's eyes during aggravated burglary

Eoin Archer admitted to a number of crimes at Cork Circuit Criminal Court.

A raider armed with a clawhammer, who ransacked a house in Ballycotton during a frightening incident, was begged not to enter the bedroom of a 92-year-old woman during the aggravated burglary but he went in and shone a torch in her eyes.

Now a local man — 30-year-old Eoin Archer — has been jailed for five years.
