A district court judge said the alleged robbery of a man of his €3,000 hearing aid and €400 cash in Cork City was too serious to be dealt with at that court.

Judge Brian O’Shea refused to accept jurisdiction for the case at Cork District Court. It will now have to be sent back to the Director of Public Prosecutions for the matter to be dealt with by indictment.
