Man arrested after over €630k seized after gardaí intercept vehicle in Dublin
During the course of this operation €638,000 in cash, a money counter and money laundering paraphernalia was recovered.
A garda operation on Wednesday has seen one man arrested in connection with an organised crime group after €638,000 was seized in Dublin.
Under Operation Tara — a garda operation which aims to disrupt, dismantle and prosecute drug trafficking networks, at all levels — garda members attached to the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau intercepted a vehicle in Cabra.
Following the interception at 4pm, a garda search of a home in the Cabra area was also undetaken.
During the course of this operation €638,000 in cash, a money counter and money laundering paraphernalia was recovered.
One man, aged in his 30s, was arrested in relation to facilitating and enhancing money laundering activities for an organised crime group and is currently detained.
A garda spokesperson said: "Investigations are ongoing."
