The man is accused of possessing cannabis in the Glasheen area of Cork.

A man accused of having €55,000 worth of cannabis for sale or supply in the Glasheen area of Cork last August appeared at Cork District Court today.

Sergeant Gearóid Davis said the Director of Public Prosecutions had given directions in the case. The DPP stated that it could be dealt with by indictment at the circuit court or he could enter a plea of guilty at the district court and be sent forward to the higher court for sentencing.
