The High Court has heard an allegation that Web Summit founder Paddy Cosgrave "heavily edited" and disseminated a heated recording of a call he made to a former director of the tech conference giant to "damage" him while claiming the former director conducted a flawed investigation into a sexual harassment claim against another director.

David Kelly was recorded in the 2021 conversation by Mr Cosrgrave which was played to the High Court on Thursday. Mr Kelly says he was left a "broken man" by Mr Cosgrave and who he called a "scumbag, making shit up".
