A 26-year-old man accused of carrying out a robbery of an 81-year-old woman, who was knocked to the ground as she walked home with her friend at Military Hill in Cork was remanded in custody.

Kelvin Murphy, of 152 Wolfe Tone Street, Gurranabraher, Cork, was refused bail at a special sitting of Cork District Court at the weekend and now he has been further remanded in custody until April 2.
