A 51-year-old man punched himself repeatedly in the face at the height of a disturbance in Cork City.

Now at Cork District Court the accused man, Marius Inta, of St Vincent’s hostel, Anglesea Street, Cork, has pleaded guilty to charges of being intoxicated to such an extent he was a danger to himself or others and that he engaged in threatening behaviour.
