'Vulnerable' Cork man 'taken advantage of by sinister person' to store cannabis in his isolated home

Garda search of accused's remote rural house found more than €10,000 worth of cannabis which he was storing for an unnamed third party, court told

Accused man was taken advantage of for the location of his home and his single status, court heard.

A 52-year-old man living in a very isolated location in the Aherla area of Co Cork stored cannabis and left quantities outside his home to be collected when instructed by another person.

Detective Garda Shannon Ryan gave evidence at the sentencing hearing for Damien Hurley at Cork Circuit Criminal Court.
