A young chef suffered fatal injuries in a freak accident at his home in south Dublin when he fell down a stairway and hit his head off a tumble dryer, an inquest has heard.

A sitting of Dublin District Coroner’s Court heard Harry Russell, 26, sustained serious injuries to his upper spinal cord in the incident in an apartment he shared with his girlfriend at Eaton Square, Monkstown, Co Dublin, in the early hours of October 8, 2022.
