Man who punched Cork hotel receptionist told to compensate victim or face jail

The incident took place at the Celtic Ross Hotel in Rosscarbery, Co Cork.

A man who admitted punching a receptionist who asked him to remove himself from a west Cork hotel lobby has been told to bring €2,000 in compensation to his next court appearance or face four months in jail.

Court presenter Sergeant Tom Mulcahy told Clonakilty District Court that the incident happened at the Celtic Ross Hotel in Rosscarbery, Co Cork, on the morning of December 11, 2024. The court heard that the accused man, Maxim Krylov, aged 22,  of Cluain Dara, Clonmacken, Co Limerick, had fallen asleep on a couch in the lobby of the hotel.
