The family of a mother of six who died after she was struck by a truck owned by a company established by Kerry TD Danny Healy-Rae has been awarded €850,000 in damages.

Joanne Davies, aged 50, a much-loved mother and grandmother, was struck by a truck owned by Healy-Rae Plant Hire while on a pedestrian crossing in Killarney on July 17, 2020. She subsequently died on July 19, 2020. One of her children was still a minor at the time.
