The parents of a 25-year-old man with an out-of-control drug problem said on Tuesday he might need to be kept in jail for a couple of weeks and indicated they could not cope with him.

The matter emerged at an in-camera hearing of Cork District Court, where the parties cannot be identified because it involves an alleged breach of the Domestic Violence Act.
