Cork man charged with carrying out two burglaries at home of elderly woman

The accused was denied bail at Cork District Court.

A 90-year-old woman had bedclothes pulled from her at three o’clock in the morning over Christmas by an intruder who broke into her home and she was left terrified.

Detective Garda Brian Murphy objected to bail being granted to 38-year-old Thomas Murray, of 186 Rathpeacon Road, who was arrested and charged with burgling the elderly woman’s home on two occasions – once at 3am on December 27, 2024.
