Cork Circuit Appeals Court heard that the accused had served ten years of a driving ban and also served his prison sentence of three years.

A truck driver who served ten years of a 15-year driving ban for dangerous driving causing catastrophic life-changing injuries to a cyclist applied to have the disqualification removed today.

Under statutory provisions, motorists who are disqualified for periods are sometimes allowed back on the road after serving two thirds of the ban.
